3053 - Carlton

Is your first thought “Little Italy” as soon as I say Carlton? Modern day Carlton is that and so much more. Don’t get me wrong - I love Italian and could survive on pizza and gelato (hello Pidapipo!) for life but I recently spent the day in Carlton and found some gems I wanted to share.

I can’t go past mentioning  Le Miel et la lune. Their adorable bear logo was enough reason alone for me to visit. This definitely needs to go on some merch! Hint hint. Not to mention their coffee and service is fab.

I absolutely adore Good Measure. It is such a cool coffee shop with a funky, vintage, music aesthetic. There isn’t much they don’t have, coffee, sandwiches, and delicious cocktails (the Tres Chile Margarita is a fave).  It is the perfect spot for some pre/post Cinema Nova drinks.

My fave breakfast in Carlton would have to be the “Sunhands plate”. They pride themselves on serving up fresh, seasonal produce and it shows (and tastes) like it!

For something more casual grab some picnic treats from King & Godfree deli and find a shady spot in the 64 acres of beautiful Carlton Gardens! After picnicking the Melbourne Museum is definitely worth a visit. Entry for adults is $15 (children are free). If a good book is more your style, duck into Readings before heading to the gardens.

What do you love about Carlton? We’d love to hear from you!
